Jersey Shore Craze

So how does a show that follows 8 Italian descent Americans including 4 jacked up on steroids men and four hair extensions down to the floor and caked on make up girls become a number one most popular show. I am definitely guilty of watching this show but only because I was completed bored and was feeling like couch potato. It definitely keeps you watching with all the drama but taking a step back from it how does watching 8 attractive young adults go out and get drunk and sleep with a different person every night draw in so many viewers. Why do we find a thrill in watching other people live their lives? I certainly don’t have a clue to why people find that reality shows are amazing. So my question to everyone out there is why does viewers find reality shows so amusing? Shouldn’t we be busy living our own lives instead of watching other people lives?
